P51 TMT Vertical Shiplap 135x20mm
Our P51 TMT Vertical Shiplap 135x20mm profile is a premium architectural timber cladding option designed to deliver a strong vertical look with crisp shadow lines. The P51 profile is a highly sought-after bevel grooved vertical shiplap profile, giving exterior walls a refined linear appearance while adding depth and texture through its negative detail.
The vertical shiplap style is especially popular for contemporary New Zealand homes because it helps create height, shadow, and a sleek exterior appearance. This product is the ideal solution for customers wanting a modern timber weatherboard look without overcomplicating the design. Use it for exterior cladding, architectural wall features, gables, garage fronts, entryways, outdoor rooms, and selected interior feature applications where a strong vertical timber finish is required.

Architectural Specification & Pro-Tips
Installation Pro-Tips for Builders
- Fixings: For optimal durability and to prevent staining, we strongly recommend using 316 Stainless Steel annular grooved nails or cladding screws. This is especially critical in coastal areas (Exposure Zone D) as per NZS 3604:2011.
- Pre-Coating: To ensure maximum lifespan and dimensional stability, seal all lap joints and cut ends with a high-quality exterior timber oil before installation.
- Moisture Management: Ensure framing moisture content is below 20% and cladding is between 14-18% at the time of installation, in accordance with NZS 3602:2003.
